We’re looking for an Integrations Engineer passionate about gadgets, IoT, smart buildings and smart devices, who’ll join our team. You may be the one who makes things a little more connected and a loT smarter.

 

Role and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with third party companies to create highly impactful device integrations on the SmartThings and SmartThings Pro platform, driving brand awareness for our partners, and delivering an exceptional customer experience for our users.
  • Building innovative tools for SmartThings and SmartThings Pro ecosystems
  • Investigate and resolve complex, escalated software and hardware issues reported by users and key partners. Independently research, diagnose, and implement solutions with minimal supervision, utilizing tools like Sumo Logic, JIRA, and GitHub. Collaborate with engineers and developers as needed.
  • Maintaining existing solutions and fixing reported issues
  • Develop SmartThings Edge drivers for IoT devices
  • Design and lead Partner with Cloud to Cloud device integrations
  • Support Partner with implementing the web API
  • Analyze trending issues, assess potential risks, and prioritize tasks to prevent widespread problems and mitigate negative impact. Proactively identify and address emerging concerns.
  • Work with testing and other cross-functional teams to provide technical solutions for desired user experiences
  • Provide training to regional product experts in international markets launching SmartThings and SmartThings Pro products.
  • Support Project Manager in technical aspects of the project
  • Working on new features SmartThings and SmartThings Pro proposals

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, IT/Technology or related field
  • 2-3 years working on IoT, Smart Home, Smart Building technologies in a professional work environment
  • Knowledge of SQL – good, and NoSQL
  • 1-2 years of experience managing technical B2B relationships with Partners.
  • Flexibility to support global VIP partners across time zones
  • Passionate about gadgets, IoT, and smart devices
  • Strong technical acumen with IoT, Smart Home, Smart Building technology, including Modbus, Bacnet, Matter, Zigbee, and Z-Wave protocols, embedded software, and hardware
  • Superior verbal and written communication, including experience with presentations to internal and external partners and stakeholders
  • Independent working but within a small team of highly talented and quality-focused engineers
  • Good English - communication level
  • Flexible and adaptable to meet business needs
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills including the ability to manage multiple stakeholders (Partners, Engineering, Product Managers, and international counterparts)
  • Occasional business trips

Nice to have

  • 2 years of Java software development (including Spring framework) experience and a willingness to learn new technologies
  • 1-2 years of Java Script, Python, .NET software development experience and a willingness to learn new technologies
  • Familiar with YAML and JSON notations
  • Knowledge of Auth0, REST
  • Familiar with Communication endpoints API development
  • Experience with IoT and/or SmartThings products
  • Ability to write clean and high quality code
